Talked with John for 20 minutes this evening.
Great guy. He owned the grocery store that got wiped out by Katrina there on the main hwy.
Family also owned a company that serviced the pogie boat fleet there in Empire.

This has been true since 2005. They are good people. Glad they came to Watson!

He walked to the back real quick and I told the lady" See there, that's why i will continue to purchase all of my groceries here"
She agreed of course. All he did was take her info and let her walk with a buggy full of groceries.
All of his staff are top notch and make you feel appreciated everytime you walk in.

We like going to the one in Central. They are very very nice. They finally got the enclosed coolers for the refrigerated stuff! I noticed prices go down a little after that.

I shop there once every two weeks. Have done so for 5 years or so. Never had a bad experience. My wife used to bring her special education students there once a week during school hours as a job training type exercise. She often commented how great Mr. John was to her students. Good people.

you talking about Delta food in Buras?
Used to deliver to his store for a few years...
He was a decent guy, but pretty arrogant...
