Peacocks have been by far the most difficult for me to find, but now I know a couple good spots where they're always at.

Fried up the snakehead last night. Made stock out of the head, skin, etc

So you caught a bass and a snook but decided to eat the trash fish?

That snakehead is the ugliest most disgusting fish around. I pray to God they never make it here to Louisiana or I'll have to quit freshwater fishing.

I wouldn't touch that ugly fricker much less eat it! Gross.

Depends on where I'm at, but I throw back about 99% of what I catch down here. This weekend I'm heading over to the Gulf for Snook, Redfish, & Trout.....I'll keep everything legal over there.

And snakeheads are very good eating, they just have a bunch of bones. Easily my favorite freshwater species to catch.

Looks like a choupique

Good work OP. Looks like a fun trip. Wish I could say I boated a peacock bass, and the largemouth looks like a solid fish.

Nice mixed bag. What is that between the snook and the turtle?

Is that one of those invasive deals that they have on city park in NO?

Mayan Cichlid.....cousin to the Butterfly Peacock. They're very aggressive and hit everything. You'll know when you have one on cause they fight hard and your pole will start vibrating like crazy cause of how fast they shake.
