Recommend an antenna

I live in slidell and want a HD antenna. I have one that is around 5 years old and plugged it in to my tv for the first time I've been in my new house. It only picks up cbs. Is the antenna out of date? Or is this a position problem(operator error). Does anyone have a recommendation for a new one. Bestbuy has one for 100 dollars and amazon has a million of them for cheap. Is there something I should be looking for when shopping for one?

Thanks for the advice. See there's the problem my wife is in practitioner school and has to drop down to part time. So we are working on that.
