Thick as a Brick is definitely up there although it is hard to compete with In The Court of the Crimson King and Dark Side of the Moon. I am always biased towards Yes so my vote would go to The Yes Album or Fragile. Emerson, Lake, & Palmer's self titled album is pretty stacked too

Jethro Lulz was a pretty solid comment I thought.

There's a lot of really skippable stuff on that album imho

What are your thoughts on The Yes Album or Fragile.

Sidenote: is hottie bartender working at ZeeZee's tonight? If so, I may travel over to that side of town for a visit

Fragile is a top 5 prog album imo. Yes Album is good but not on Fragile or Close to the Edge's level.

My money is on Closer to the Edge by YES.

Thick as a Brick is certainly up there.

Would TMV be a modern day prog band to you OP?

Probably so

I saw them at Austin City Limits in like '08 or '09 and they melted my fricking face off. I need to check them out, I downloaded a bunch of their albums and then never listened to them.

They got a bit carried away after Amputechture IMO

I still have all their albums, just it was too much.

Deloused and Frances the mute are 5*

You will not be disappointed.

I would nominate In the Court of the Crimson King or Roundabout but Tull is also the shite.

ETA: Some people consider Pink Floyd to be prog, at least at first, in which case Dark Side of the Moon gets a mention.
