Thanks Obama for ruining the oil and gas industry.

Its typically the poor well construction after drilling/fracking that has the biggest affect. That or the lack of flare monitoring, black smoke on the tip of the flare for months.

Oh, don't get me wrong. Shoddy operation practices or general frickups can (and do) cause environmental problems. However, it is good to see some affirmative evidence that fracking, in and of itself, is not some harbinger of a Love Canal type disaster.

looks like there was a settlement between that guy and a gas company (that owned a well that pre-dates fracking. the state agency in colorado said the fracking had no effects on his water) and it may have been pulled b/c of the settlement

If people ever wonder why so-called "deniers" are prevalent, kindly remind them of their role in drumming up hysteria using false and misleading information, thereby helping contribute to people doubting legitimate sources filtered through the mouths of alarmists.

It's not exactly surprising to a lot of TD posters who have at least a basic knowledge of the process.

Was this the area that had flammable water years before any drilling ever took place?

Uh oh......where o' where do they go from here? MASS HYSTERIA!

Matt Damon didn't give a shite if it were real or not. Arab sheiks were bankrolling the movie to stir up anti-fracking sentiment.
And I only wish I were joking.

The DOE, a Federal agency reporting in favor of the Oil & Gas industry. What a surprise. I don't believe any of it! They got a positive result from one test area and are reporting on it like it's a get-out-of-jail pass for the entire 'fracking' game. No repeat results? That's not 'science' as I know it, but the Feds shilling for Big Oil is nothing new.

So, the "long-term" tracer elements could only be traced for two months of an 18-month study? How can anyone consider this scientifically valid, especially when the data set is so small?
