Is this not the weirdest start to ANY NFL season that you can remember?
Between the injuries to all the stars last week, Ray Rice, AP, and of course the Saints starting 0-2. I can't remember a stranger start to any season

Katrina year for Saints fans. Watching the Saints play Saban in Tiger stadium was weird.

2012 season was a strange start. Replacement refs. No Payton on the sideline for the Saints.

Fail Mary was week 3

That's got to be one of the more underrated coincidences in sports history. The odds of that happening were like 1 in a bajillion.

I wonder if Saban saw the miserable atmosphere that day and contrasted it in his mind with how it looked for a big SEC game day - then thought of all the locker room issues, etc and said "NFL coaching is for the birds".

when i first read that i thought, man that's weird, totally oblivious that he had left y'all the Christmas before and still thinking about Alabama Saban. then realization sat in and made it even more of a peculiar event.

that's a one in a million occurrence.

I'm over every off the field issue in the NFL. I simply do not care at all.

I think at least half the people who were at that game went solely to cheer for Saban.

That had to be the lowest point in the Saints history. Aaron Brooks was QB and the team was homeless. Around the third quarter, people started to boo and make paper airplanes out of programs and toss them on the field. Someone made a plane that landed on the sideline and everyone cheered.
Didn't Tom Benson get in a fight with a fan at that game?

I went to support the Saints. I bout a bunch of tickets for all the TS games I didn't want them to leave the state.

Another piece of weirdness for that game was it was the return of Rickey Williams from his weed vacation.
