Only 5 get in every year, and it seems like it would be pretty hard to choose which 5 will get in this year.

Curious as to which 5 the MSB would vote for?

Junior Seau

I think they punt on choosing another defensive player and go with Jimmy Johnson this year. Cower would be a shoe in but I think people expect him to come back at some point and the voting committee doesn't like things like that.

The homer in me wants to go Mawae but Shields has more Pro Bowls, although one less All Pro. Both all decade team.

I think coaches shouldn't count towards the 5 that get into the hall.

I think they should do 5 players and 1 coach/owner/contributor, etc. (if there is a coach/owner/contributor worthy of getting in that year)

But I don't make the rules.

Its a shame the player with the 3rd most career sacks all time (Kevin Green) is still not in.

Um, there hasn't been less than 6 inducted in a year since 2005. Most years since then it's been 7 people.

I don't see how Andersen ever gets in given how ridiculous the FG percentages have gotten nowadays. His stats would essentially have him as a middle of the road kicker in today's NFL (and he didn't even have the disadvantageous "K" balls to deal with).

His most impressive kick ever was a 60 yard bomb in the Superdome right before halftime against the Bears. But I think at least 10 NFL kickers could match that feat nowadays (maybe more)?

The best case would be his longevity and the fact that in his NFL days he was a maestro.

I've argued this before, but I honestly do not believe that Kurt Warner is a HoF QB.

He played in 3 Super Bowls and threw for 414, 377 and 365 yards....the 3 best in Super Bowl history.

I can't believe how little love Will Shields gets. He was one of the GOAT Guards. I don't think he ever missed a snap in his career, 12 straight pro bowls, etc.
