There is no shortage of dumbarsedness on Facebook since starting 0-2.

Some Highlights:

1. Drew Brees is making too much money! Especially for an aging QB with a declining arm!

2. Signing Graham was a dumb move. Could have used all that money on defense.

My Favorite:

3. We shouldn't have signed Graham....we don't need another Joe Horn player....Brees can make average WRs look like pro bowlers.

(yea....I'm sure Tom Brady hated having Randy Moss and loves having average WRs)

Every year he pays lip service to taking a pay cut and doing what it takes to help keep the team together, but he sat by and did nothing while Carl Nicks, Jermon Bushrod and Darren Sproles get away? He doesn't deserve to be called out for that at least a little bit?

Are you going to call out all the other qbs that are less proven but getting paid as much or more than him too?

I'm guessing no....

There's no stats to prove that Drew Brees isn't a bargain in today's QB market.

He gets called out for that every time they lose a game. And interestingly enough, only then.

When Joe Flacco runs his mouth to the media and says he'll take a pay cut to help the team and then he doesn't and Torrey Smith and Haloti Ngata walk away? Yes, yes I will.

To my knowledge, the Saints haven't approached Drew about this at all. If they have, then ignore my comment due to ignorance.

It's not Drew's place to run to management and ask for a pay cut. Who would do that?

Now....if they came to him and asked, who knows if he would or not? I'm not running to my boss and giving back money. Who would?

Wrong.

He never said he'd take a pay cut.
He said he'd restructure his contract.

You guys have to learn the difference.

Was it Nicks's fault that their locker room was less sanitary than the average 3rd world country?

That's like saying the Saints were geniuses because they didn't let LeCharles Bentley walk.

Thank you for clarifying. The only issue I have is that he tells the media that he will do it and then nothing happens. At that point, I disagree with the people who say it's not his responsibility--it's the team's. He knew Sproles was going to be gone. Hell, he's the guy who got him here. When he knew that, it might have been time to put the money where his mouth is and told the team "I said I'd do this. Let's do this."

Difference of opinions. All good.

But as before stated, if we were 2-0 instead of 0-2 this wouldn't be discussed at all. Drew would be the great one again and no one would be pointing the finger.

They put out a lot of money this year for Byrd and Graham also.

The eternal question is...Where would the Saints be without Drew? Would we have a Superbowl? Would we have as many winning seasons? How much is that worth? CSP had the biggest hand yes, but would you rather be a losing team with a cheap QB or a winning team with an expensive one?

It's like you people will never learn, it's been said a million times

AFTER THIS YEAR is the time for Brees to restructure his deal. Having it done this year wouldn't have made enough of a difference with how much we would be back loading it

Please for the love of everything who dat do some mother fricking research
