First, the Vikings had their relationship with Radisson suspended.

Now, Anheuser-Busch and Pepsi who are both big spenders have publicly voiced their displeasure.

It will be interesting to see how Goodell and the NFL respond.

If you want to see change the sponsors need to pull the plug

it's just a big PR stunt. Those sponsors won't bail. Just PR posturing to make themselves look good and get out in front of the issue.

Radisson is def. soaking up this free publicity. They are basically a dying franchise, going the way of Barnes and Noble or Radio Shack and now all of a sudden they've gotten more publicity in the past 24 hours than their whole company is probably worth. I can't even remember the last time I've seen a Radisson that wasn't once a decent 3.5 star or 4 star hotel that's gone down to like a 2.5 star at best. They're all ratty and dumpy and victims of the stronger chains (Hilton, Marriott) boxing out the rivals due to the loyalty programs.

They've played their hand brilliantly though. I'd give their CEO and PR guys a huge raise.

The NFL is seeing no drop in viewership, so why would sponsors bail?

Remember when sponsors started pulling out on the Rush Limbaugh show because he correctly called that person a slut that wanted the government to pay for her birth control? Limbaugh lost no listeners, those sponsors wanted back in, and Limbaugh told them to frick themselves because he already had new sponsors.

The NFL is no so spiteful as that, but no material amount of people will stop watching football over these non-football related issues. While each individual incident is tragic, I will not stop watching football over it even if those players are allowed to play this Sunday. It is a freaking game, for crying out loud, not congress. I do not care what any player does in their free time.

No, they only care about maximizing profits, which is perfectly fine. They are trying to read the tea leaves on this one, and I think they are wasting their time.

I'm watching Olbermann Live and it certainly appears to be the case.

When sponsors started backing out of the Clippers is when the NBA took action. Only difference here is that in order to do that Goodell has to go. Does not bode well for the NFL.

I'm disappointed that the Vikings thought only one game was punishment enough. The fact that they are probably going to extend it due simply to loss of sponsors shows where their priority lies.
