I haven't seen MO yet and though it will be a mellow show, Rebirth on the main stage will pick the mood back up

Seeing Rebirth at Chelsea's doesn't support the local singers and songwriters in Baton Rouge, which leads to big acts like Journey coming to the River Center

wait, what?

I loved seeing RBB at Chelsea's during my LSU years, and I just saw them in ATX this past weekend. They were unloading the van at 9:50 and rocking out by 10. They're super professional, and the new album had some great live material for them to work with. RBB hands down.

Just a note about the Mandolin Orange show in the side room: it will start with opener Leif Vollerbek at 8:15 and be done by 10 (when rebirth starts up)

It's also my penultimate show in BR this year (Richard Buckner on the 23rd at Red Star being the last)

You need CottonWasKing in here to explain that seeing Rebirth at Chelsea's does not count as supporting BR's live and local music scene. Don't shoot the messenger guys

I only like to see Rebirth at Bogie's so I can shoot fireball with my bros and hit on girls who banged half the bar

done by 10

I figured they would be done by 10. There mellowish sound would have been drowned out by Rebirth.

Dumpstaphunk

Mannn, I need some more Dumpstaphunk in my life. Here in ATX, at a single venue, I will have caught Trombone Shorty, Rebirth Brass Band and Soul Rebels this year, and Better Than Ezra is on their calendar too.

For me personally though, I'd pick Rebirth over just about any band. When I think about all the concerts I've experienced -- from McCartney and Clapton to Kanye and the Lips and a lot of weird stuff in between -- Rebirth stands out as some of the most fun. As far as the fun experience, I'd say Rebirth and The Roots are pretty darn high up my list.

Now, adding Dumpstaphunk to sweeten the North Miss. Allstars pot makes passing RBB worth considering...

I've seen more nationally touring acts in the past year than you have. Fact.
