While loading my boat saturday, my prop hit the concrete at the launch.....my question is, can I run with it like this, or do I need to get it fixed/replaced? Not sure how much damage a prop can take before needing to address it.

I've run with much worse. I would avoid WOT, and get fixed asap though. If you feel vibrations, stop running it.

Yea, to my untrained eye, I just assumed it was borderline.

Very important advice.

I had the same thing happen while off loading my boat at a landing in Leeville when the water was very low. I fished for two days with the prop being bent and took it to Bo's in Port Vincent and had it straightened. This was in December of 2012. In August of 2013 (eight months later) my lower unit went out. The repair shop that replaced the lower unit said that the damage done to the prop also bent the prop shaft of my lower unit which ultimately caused the lower unit to fail. Fortunately I was able to turn this in on my insurance saving me $4,500.00. Might be a good idea to repair the prop and have the prop shaft checked out.

minor nicks and gouges can cost u mph...that gouge is in a bad spot, it will affect your bow lift...I'd get it fixed asap

This. No point in risking it. Even slight vibrations at high RPMs are going to take a toll on your lower unit. It might not fail, but it's not worth worrying about it. It's too easy to fix.

You need that fixed. Everything said about bow lift, vibrations and overall performance is correct. Id send it to Brian at Holeshot Propellers here in Houma (he works on all my props and does a damn good job.)

My take, fix it ASAP. Running it like that is creating vibration. That will wear out the seals and gears in the lower unit over time.

I don't know if the propshop in DS on Ranger Rd is still open, but they repaired a few for me in the pass with a fast turn around.

Is your sheer pin busted?

That's the point of one...it will break before the whole shaft well.

WHAT?

Really. Don't think that is a 1960's motor.
