Alabama; Auburn; LSU; Ole Miss; Miss State; UGA;
Florida; Tennessee; South Carolina; FSU; Miami; WVU; Clemson; Ohio State; USC; UCLA; Michigan State; Minnesota; Ga. Tech; Arizona; Arizona State; Indiana; Louisville and many more.

Now if this young man was as bad a student as he is being portrayed then tell me how all those offers from that many football programs and from some top academic institutions as well?

This couldn't have gone in the thread already on this page about this topic?

The same reason dozens of blue chip prospects every single year end up not qualifying and going to JUCO....

Bo Scarbrough had offers from Notre Dame and UCLA and he couldn't qualify at Alabama. Eddie Lacy qualified at Alabama.

If you dont like it then don't read it. Besides who cares what a Penn fan thinks anyway.

Lacey made a 12 on his act.

You get 6 for getting your name right.

LSU standards are not that low, at least not for non-athletes.

That was kind of my point, this isn't specific to Valentine. Scarbrough couldn't qualify at bama but had offers from "academic" institutions like UCLA and Notre Dame. OP was pointing to offers like that as an indicator that surely a kid with those offers could qualify, that's not always the case.

Technically, Lacy got an 18 because he didn't get his name right.

Pretty dumb thread. Plenty of schools offer guys they know are borderline to qualify. If they're good and you have a spot there isn't much to lose.

I often wondered who that joke was about who spelled "Farm" E-I-E-I-O on their entrance exam...However, Lacey was there after the joke was told, so who knows? It was the second question on the exam--the first was a completion: "Old McDonald had a _________." (BTW, the Geico commercial of the farmer spelling "Cow" was made 20-30 years or so after the joke was told--Bear Bryant was coach when I first heard it. Of course, it could have also been told about Auburnt or Moo State or...)
