I'm talking the, ask your friends, neighbors and family to buy a bunch of shite just to "support the school". All the while, they are getting hit up by 10 other "friends"

We hated them as kids but here we are...all grown up and still pulling this shite.
The only improvement I see are the tubs of cookie dough.

My kids school just asks for money. I appreciate that.

The candy sale was always bullshite. You'd take that glossy brochure door to door and have people but shite that, looking back now, you know they didn't want. Then as people filled out their line, the ink would smear everywhere. Then delivering the shite was even worse.

The Liberty Card bullshite was bad too. Did anyone go to McKinley Middle and have "Liberty Angela" get on the morning announcements? "Gooooooood morning Mustangs!!!! How are those Liberty Card sales going?!"

Because most people hate buying the crap and hate having to say no. I have never heard anyone say, "Hey, I am so glad you asked me, I just happen to be in the market for some overpriced wrapping paper"

People need wrapping paper. Schools need money. Kids need to learn lessons.

Just don't buy it and stage your own revolution. Or keep starting shitty threads. Your call.

1. Just ask for the money then.

2. Why would you post in a shitty thread? What a waste of time.

Yeah... I didn't do that crap. It's not like they'd kick me out of the school. The only time I ever thought of doing it was for football, and I just bought the shoes myself.

1. You ignored the part about people needing wrapping paper and kids learning.

2. I post here to waste time.

3. Why so mad, bro?

I remember when I was a kid we sold real Hershey's bars. Now it's that world finest chocolate bullshite. The dude at my corner gas station has that stuff set up in there and he's selling it for his kid.

Worlds Finest is a superior product. The chocolate covered almonds rule. You must be old as shite.

The companies that put out these products are brilliant. It's legalized child labor.

Nope. 1st year at new school and daughter is having to sell stuff. I have 2 nephews at same school so we all get to hit up grandparents and our collective friends.

I really don't see the learning lesson in it. I would rather the school just come up with a better idea. I figured with our generation being subjected to this crap, we would have come to the table with a better solution.

For example, last school did silent auction and a spring festival.

And the Girl Scouts are the best at it.

There's a write-a-check campaign or a booster-thon fun run at the elementary schools here. Middle schools sell cookie dough or gaschoolstore.

We have fundraisers for our travel baseball team regularly. (nb4 travel baseball is ruining America).

People are more than willing to help out. They want to help. Some do just send money, but most are willing to buy football squares or take part in a hit-a-thon. We don't stand on a corner a shake cans. Forget that.
