I have been asking my wife to let me get a duck dog for like 3 years & the answer has always been hell no. Well today is her birthday & I couldn't figure out what to get her... She never said she didn't want a dog, only that I couldn't have one. So she will be home in 5 minutes & an 8 week old black lab puppy is waiting for her!!!

If I get thrown out of the house, I will trade a teal hunt for a spot on someones couch... LOL

Better hope that puppy has some personality. If not, dibs on your hunting property.

for the record it's a lab golden retriever mix. Not sure that is going to make it any better though.

Last dog i bought i made very clear to the ex gf that it was mine and i was training it to be a duck dog.

She fell and love and when we broke up, big guilt trip about how i should let her have it. Fortunately i took him on a final duck hunt and he kicked arse. Told her hell no, she put nails in my driveway, but all is well.

Moral of the story, dogs are loyal. Women arent

You really have to ask your wife for a duck dog? Your pimp hand is not strong.
