Players on the defense who has stepped up and surprised

This year I can name 4 players who have far surpassed what I thought they were capable of:
1. Jalen collins- hasn't really made us miss Robinson all that much as the starter.
2. Dwayne Thomas- Not quite the honey badger, but he will be instrumental in tackling that WR screen A&M and Bama likes to run.
3. Tashawn Bower- Not the biggest guy weight-wise, but he has some power behind him and can flat out run. He may be better than Hunter IMO.
4. Lewis Neal- I didn't think a guy his size could really make a difference, but he holds his own inside and has incredible technique. It's a shame he wasn't born with a Clowney body. He would be the GOAT.

Jalen Collins and Davon Godchaux have been big time.

I'm proud of you. A positive thread.

Davon Godchaux and Jamal Adams.
I actually kind of expected this from Thomas.

Davon Godchaux
a big one I left out. I think the 2015/2016 DL with Godchaux, Bowers, Lacouture, and Valentine will be NASTY.

Save your evaluation for conference play.

Well, we did play a pretty good team in Wisconsin. Shutting out anybody in this age of HUNH and spread offenses is damn impressive.

As long as we talk D and not offense.

Dwayne Thomas and Jalen Colins have been beasts so far! Jamal Adams has been as good as advertised as well.

What specifically has Adams done to make people in this thread pleasure themselves?
IMO he has showed flashes of ability but otherwise has been unremarkable. Does not mean he won't be outstanding one day...for those of you about to put down the lotion and furiously begin typing.
My sole name right now would be DThomas.

Chavis' scheme against Ole Miss is still terrible. I don't know what it is, but he better figure that shite out.
Better?

I agree with this.

You're crazy if you don't see how well Bower, Godchaux, and Collins have done.

I agree with JCollins...oversight on my part. He has definitely elevated.
Godchaux I haven't seen enough yet. Could change as season progresses.
Bower, sorry don't see it. He has had little effect IMO. His play is the same as it was last year...meh.

Godchaux has been the most explosive dinemen. He's in the backfield constantly, and he plays with a mean streak.
