I don't remember a lot of missed tackles yesterday. Am I wrong?

Our corners let us down again yesterday. The rest of the defense didn't play great, but we know the real Prob-lem

the silver lining is that both losses were on the road, which is pretty consistent with last year when i think we went 4-4 on the road. (why the F hasnt Payton figured out how to run his offense on the road after how many years????? The early timeouts/substitution problems are unforgivable at this point)

Ill be worried if we lay an egg at home where we were 8-0 last year.

Oh - more silverlining, we appear to be able to run the ball. I think we just need to commit to it more. Throwing the ball 40 times is not good on the road, esp when youre having problems like i mentioned up above on the road.

On the last drive, I seem to recall throwing on first down during our final posession. Dont recall if it was incmplete or not, but thats potentially 20 more seconds off the clock. no FG for the Browns.

The Good

-Missed tackles at a minimum. It could have something to do with the skill players for the Browns being out of the game.
-Jimmy Graham had a strong performance. Other than the bad pass (and INT) due to Brees getting hit, I didn't see him really make many errors. He was also blocking very well.
-Mark Ingram looks to be the best pure rusher we have on the team. Not as good as Pierre Thomas out of the backfield in the receiving game, but he's running well. Krob didn't look bad, but I don't recall him getting as many reps as Ingram.
-Lack of penalties! This is great to see, and one of the few things that I can point to this year so far as a good indicator. Considering we were one of the worst-penalized teams in the NFL during the preseason, this has been an amazing turnaround.

The Bad

-Defensive play-calling is still suspect to me. Rob Ryan is not using Kenny Vaccaro as well as he was last year. IMO the thing that made him such a good player for us last year was how he switched him between safety and nickel. This added another way to disguise our defense. He's being used in a very limited, vanilla role that is not accenting his strengths.
-Offensive line play was shaky in the first half. A couple of miscues by this unit, coupled with Drew's habit of holding onto the ball too long, almost caused a safety and forced us to punt the first 4 drives.

The Ugly

-Patrick Robinson looks to be hot garbage. He made one good play that saved a TD, other than that he consistently shows that he cannot make a play on the receiver or the ball. He doesn't even turn his head on coverage. He shouldn't be on this team's, or any team's starting lineup. Period.
-Entire secondary looked confused; to rub salt in the wound, the dagger to the heart, last offensive play for the Browns was a completed pass to a wide open receiver due to a mis-communication. That play basically was the cherry on top of a shiyt sundae that was the game.

Cleveland has a great atmosphere for the home team. Saints offense is very much dependent on audibles at the line of scrimmage. You could tell, especially early in the game, the trouble that Brees was having communicating with his team. 2 timeouts were used just to make up for this issue. We actually started doing better when we went to the line, made some minor blocking adjustments, and ran the play.

The thing that baffles me is that we appear to have not learned from our ailments from playing @Seattle twice last year. Crowd noise affects our offense, they need to lean on the run and learn to communicate better with hand signals.

This. Also, it was an AFC team. Do what we do at home, win 7 or 8 then all we need is 3 or 4 on the road to lock up a 2 seed imo. The NFC doesn't look great. We're gonna need to get on our horse the rest of the way to have any shot at the 1 though
