Is "Climate Change" The Perfect Reflection Of Current US Polititics?

- You have very few known truths
- You have deep seated emotions that the media extrapolates upon
- You have a few truths on either side that are known
- You have moral and ethical relativism all over the map
- You have people in it to make money
- You have people in it to protect money; and
- You have the average person knowing in their soul not to trust anyone (especially politicians) in the argument because something just doesn't feel right.
You could take the aforementioned points and counter points and overlay them on virtually any hot-button political topic of the day and have direct applicability.**
** The only hot-button political topic that does not have this as a framework right now to me is the IRS targeting issue. That one seems like a no-brainer of outright tyranny that anyone from any political side of the isle ought to be up in arms about.

I don't know about that. I can think of lots of issues where the analogy does not apply. Take abortion.
Both sides know the truth. No one is skeptical about the information. It's not a big money maker.

The elephant in the room nobody talks about in regards to abortion is that for many it isn't about a woman's choice but rather it's about eliminating "undesirables". Abortion statistically slows the rate of birth in minority groups and people living below the poverty level. But few will admit that's why they like abortion and they hide it under the guise of "woman's rights" which is an illogical argument because you ignore the child's right to life

Lol that you think each side is equal in truth. One side has scientists. The other side has FUD.

Doesn't feel right equals not enough truthiness.

There are known truths. Deniers just refuse to see them.
It's sort of like the "skewed polls". You righties didn't want to believe them, Fox and a few deniers gave you reason to deny them. So you hitched your wagon to denialism.
You're like kids putting fingers in their ears and saying lalalalalala.
