Was cutting lanes with the extension saw and all of a sudden my lab was rolling at my feet. Looked down and he was only about half brown, the other half was black and yellow. Dropped the saw and ran like that scene in Tommy Boy.

YOUR WEAPONS ARE USELESS AGAINST THEM!

About a half dozen got me on my side. Had to take my gloves off and beat them off the dog. I don't think he got stung many times because I don't think they could get through his coat.

Lots of fun for the rest of the day.

They met about a gallon a gasoline about 10 minutes later.

Dad got hit by a bunch of them last week. He was stung so many times he threw up. Must have been a record year for them.

worked for a lawn service one summer in college. Hit them in a ditch with the weedeater and a few went up my shirt. I ran about the fastest sprint of my life that day trying to get my shirt off

Just got rid of some that started a nest inside a wall cavity of my house. Ended up having to drill several small holes from the inside of house so I could spray at various heights. I could hear em buzzing through the wall, sounded like thousands. Late summer is supposedly prime time for yellow-jackets.

Even up in the great white north its been a good yr for them …. A friend of my sons got lit up by them while weedeating during his summer job and while tidying up a back corner of my yard yesterday I pissed off a ground nest, didn’t get stung but I was moooovin when I went across the lawn.

They met w/ the appropriate amount of gas and then I added fire to the equation = a good time

I hate those evil little frickers. Had to clear a big nest of them out of my brother's property this summer.

Here's the thing, I have only found one small wasp nest in a stand so far this year. I would rather find a nest and kill them instead of climbing in there knowing there has to be a nest and knowing that I will end up face to face with one I hadn't seen yet.

I did find a bat in one on Saturday and had a huge grey frog jump from the stand, onto my head, then on my back, before taking a 10 foot plunge into the underbrush. I told my wife that she would still be screaming.

Got hit pretty good by an underground nest in my front yard last week, stung several times. still trying to figure out how to kill these bastards, I have already sprayed a whole can of wasp killer in the ground and they're still alive and well. WTF

I wish there was video of the time I ran over a nest at very low speed with all windows of the jeep open. Bugs enter vehicle. We are in vehicle. Panic ensues. Not sure what to do since they are where I am and where I'd be if I left. Decide to stop suddenly as I'm opening the door. Door rebounds and knocks me to the ground. How I got out of that with only 4 stings I'll never know.

What deacon said for ground nesting sobs the only solution is gas or diesel, to make the experience even more fun add some heat and light them up.

Sprays work on nests you can see etc. I like the spray foam they have now it sticks to the nest/opening

Had a wasp nest on a 30' ladder stand. I climbed up half way and sprayed them. I then realized that I was directly under the nest. Bastards started falling on me. I decided to try the fireman slide down the ladder. After falling the last 8' to the ground, I gathered myself and looked around to see if anyone saw me. No one was around....but our game camera was pointed directly at me.

A few years back, I disturbed a nest in a bush while cutting grass. Never saw them coming. Felt like getting stabbed. I sprinted across the yard and jumped in the pool. They got me 4 times in the back, luckily the pain wears off after a while.

I thought I remember reading on here once that a dude used his weed eater over the opening of a ground nest to decapitate and mutilate them.

That sounds more satisfying than burning them with gas. But the gas sounds fun too.
