We're going nowhere this year if we're using White/Robinson on defense. Can we trade for someone? We need an emergency patch now. Watching through the game again on my DVR I don't know how Robinson is on an NFL team. He's never in position to do anything. He's solely responsible for 13 points today. Gave up a TD he was juked out of his socks on, PI late, and he jumped offsides on the FG that was missed and would've been a 3 point swing for Saints. At least White is a decent tackler.

We're fricked. Teams hardly even look Lewis way they just find White/Robinson on the field and throw that way. I don't know what we can do but they need to be looking at trades or someone on the market right now to salvage this season. It's not going to get better with either of these guys starting. It's just not. When Greer went down last year so did our defense in heavy decline. How was this so overlooked?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere in the preseason someone pointed out at how bad Robinson was looking in camp. Can we do anything to at least patch this situation at all? I realize this is not the entire problem with the defense right now but it's a pretty significant portion to it. Robinson has absolutely no CB instincts at all and I have no idea how he's on an NFL team. Starting to look like Jason David and Fred Thomas at the end of his career. Difference then is Saints had an offense that could put 40 points up consistently. This offense is not that good like they were when past defenses were bad.

why do they keep leaving him 1 on 1? should be getting him some help. we arent the only team in the league with a sucky cb, other teams give them some help to cover their deficiencies.

Unfortunatly... we are stuck with the Robinson/White patchwork job. Just accept it. It's easier that way.

with the state of the cb position across the league, if champ bailey was anywhere near capable he would be on a roster.

I don't know man but this team is in serious trouble with them at CB. Just let it sink in that Hoyer made them look silly with his 2 best offensive weapons sitting at home watching the game. Matt Ryan got molested today after having a career day on us.

That is not the argument of him making another roster , the argument is that he can't possibly be worse than what we have

he could very well not be any better either. him not making another roster validates the fact that he is old and finished.

Champ got embarrassed in the SB, just like we have been with PRob.. probably worse. It was not an injury- it's just age.

IMO we have to either snag another vet (unlikely), trade for someone (also unlikely), or experiment with other guys. Dixon or SJB.. Let's throw them into the fire. There's always a chance one of them could stick.

Otherwise, give White the job. He isn't the best but he is better than Robinson.. PRob has given up more bad plays in 2 games than White did all last season. We can just let KV be our nickel back, and rotate Bush deep.

I'm all for White starting...he can be as bad as Robinson...I guess. I don't see how it's possible to be worse.

That was my argument as well. The last significant game we saw with Champ Bailey he was obviously too old to play the game. I was hopeful he could play as a roaming NB (IF OUR 1/2 CBs COULD STICK WITH THEIR MAN).

Dixon or SJB.

Dixon maybe. SJB looked about like Robinson does during preseason.

I have no idea why RR hasn't done this yet this year. This is what he had to do last year due to injury, and it worked pretty well.

I honestly think this is coaching guys, apart from the abysmal performance by Robinson. Something is going on with the coaching staff, just can't tell exactly what it is.

I know using the preseason as an example is kind of bad, but Dixon looked like he had good instincts when it came to covering WRs and locating the ball in coverage, something PRob obviously lacks. SJB obviously has the measurables but lacks the proper execution to be a decent CB.

Also, it's worth noting that Khiry would probably not be playing if it wasn't for his preseason last year, so I believe trying out Dixon wouldn't be a bad idea considering his success during the preseason.

Robinson also saved a TD. On the one he gave up he had no lb or S help bc everyone bit on the play action. He had outside coverage and the guy broke inside. I think it was Vaccaro's responsibility to hold inside actually.
The team looks like shite, you can blame individual players if you want but CSP and Ryan have these two loses on their shoulders.

Let's pretend trading for someone at this point in the season is realistic... Who you giving up?

Nobody. The sky is not falling.
Hoyer was 24 of 40 for 204 yards 1 TD.
I would guess stat wise we had a top 5 pass defense this week.
Turnovers and line play have hurt us. Coaching has killed us.
