Rob Ryan focused on new orleans cuisine in the off season. Payton focused on pussy.

I don't believe that for one second.

The defensive staff needs an intervention.

defense gave up 20 points. any time you hold a nfl team to 20 points or less you should win.

Well, this year we have Patrick Robinson who is making rookie mistakes. The rest of the guys seem like they need work on playing together cuz there has been a TON of miscommuncations.

Also, I'll continue to say our lack of athleticism at our stand up LB positions is hurting us. Our safeties have to be linebackers in run support and get washed out the moment a lineman or FB gets a hand on them.

You have to put the defensive effort into context.

A couple browns receivers were wide open all day like Miles Austin and P-Rob fricking up a couple good defensive stands and being offsides on a field goal.

how about the offense? disappearing for a half, pick 6, and refusing to run the ball to finish the game.

Offense played shitty sure but in the last phase of the game it's the defenses job not let them get into field goal range.

The NFL rules today are such that an average offense should be able to drive the ball to make a FG, provided there's enough time.

There was enough time. The Browns offense is at lease average. All they needed was a FG and they got it.

I watched the game where he got the ball on his own 4 and drove the length of the field to win against a D that was supposedly top 5 today

Defense played well enough to win. The offense didn't.

That's the difference.

The defense gave up a FG on that last drive. Brees gave up 6 points all by himself. Had that not happened, that last drive wouldn't have mattered.
