My wife and I both have iphones. I go to calendar and create an event. I want to add her to the event so I go to edit>invites and then go to her name in my phone. At this point it will not allow me to add her to the event.

I notice that once I put in her email, it will allow me add the invite but I want it to go straight to her iphone calendar, not her email.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Why don't you just share a calendar between the two of you?

When you're in the calendar app, look at the bottom and and click the word Calendars. Hit edit, then add a Calendar. It'll then ask who you'd like to share it with.

This way any appt. you or her make will be automatically pushed to each other.

Thanks, I did what you said and added a calendar but it never asked me who I would like to share it with...but you are definitely on the right track. That is what I would like to do.

That's weird. You running iOS 7 or higher?

Can you take a screen shot?

I figured it out. I needed to enable icloud calendar in the settings for both phones. Now we share an "icloud calendar". Works get, thanks.

I use my outlook calendar at work which syncs via exchange on my iphone. Is there anyway I can share this calendar with my wife's iphone?

You'd have to be both using the iCloud calendar. Maybe there's a way to transfer everything.

Add your exchange account to her phone and only sync the calendar.

I was not able to "transfer" everything to her calendar but once the merger is done, all events go to each calendar
