Here's a thought -- Let's keep our money in Baton Rouge and play Southern.

At least most of the fans will come to see the entertainment at halftime. lol
I know that it would never happen, but it couldn't be any worse than playing an out of state FCS school and winning 56-0 and sending our money out of state. Keep the money in state.

Horrible idea. Some of them think they can actually hang with LSU, and how would ticket pricing for that game work. Im sure a ticket to a southern gameis what $15

Yea, I'm certain hotels and restaurants in the Baton Rouge area would love to have two local teams matching up and avoid all that out of town revenue.

Awful idea. No fan wants to watch Southern get it's arse kicked up and down the field all night. A game against Southeastern would be 100x better than a game against Southern.

LSU plays zero HBCU schools...What they would do to Southern would be no different that what they do to Sam Houston State, Townson.....or any other shitty football school they play...Would Southern lose absolutely, but the embarrassment LSU would have if they lost would be monumental. I don't think LSU wants that.
I do believe their is some underlying racial component that there. Southern fans travel really well, so the turnout would be great. Southern could use the financial boost that playing LSU would give them.
I bet if BRCC started a football program LSU would play them before playing Southern.

I'd rather play Northwestern, SELU, well any school in LA except Southern.
