I thought he made better decisions last night. He is fast, but he is not that quick when trying to change directions, and he is very powerful. so when he gets the ball, he just needs run down hill, get it and goooo. I thought he did this better last night. He is a really good receiver out of the backfield too. He is gonna be an all timer, he just needs a little adjustment to the college game and i am already seeing improvement. He had a nice kick return last night too. Hes gonna take one to the house next week against those cow tippin frickers!!!

i'm just upset that magee looks to have gotten so big that he lost his "luster" from last year.

I thought he'd be the best

Yea, Magee looks uncomfortable. Maybe he just wants to be a FB but he should drop the weight back off

He's got to learn to stick his foot in the ground, make one cut, and get up field. The 3 best RBs in the Les Miles era (Hill, Ridley, Hester) all had that in common. This isn't HS where you can round-off cuts and just kind of glide through holes.

He needs to learn that he is not bigger and faster than the opponent like he was in high school and find the hole rather than try to run over someone. Once this happens, he will live up to the hype.

... He IS bigger and faster than the opponent to some degree... And he does look for holes.. Which is why he looks slow. Do you even watch the games?

What are you talking about? He is very quick when changing directions. Go watch the highlights from last weeks game. His second long run he just runs around a guy to break open

true, but that was after he got a head of steam and was running down hill. From what I've seen on some of the lateral runs he doesn't look very quick. for instance i bet he runs a good 40 time but not as good a shuttle time, relatively speaking

That's a nice move, but not a great one.
Great backs make that move sharper, pivoting on one foot.
He runs stiff, like Keiland and his footwork is not as nimble as, say a Gurly.
But he's certainly big, fast and strong, and unlike Keiland doesn't hesitate to stick his nose in a pile and try to run over people when necessary.

Yeah, his only weakness seems to be on the stretch run. He looked good on the toss and looks good once he starts going down hill.

He also seems to have good vision, he's just used to outrunning people. He will be fine and will be even better when we open it up.

He created 5+ feet of separation without losing speed

He runs upright, that doesn't = stiff
