I finally gave up what little dignity I have left and watched "Draft Day." Everyone involved with the film deserves to die. I'm not saying that I want them to die, I'm just saying that if this film were made in 1600's Japan, Kevin Costner, Jennifer Gardner, and especially Chris Berman would have taken a knife from their lower gut to their sternum. And yet here we are, 5 months post release, and every one of them is still alive. There is no honor. There is no honor.

Yes and no. It's terrible, but it's terrible in the good terrible way. Even though I don't think it wanted to be good terrible.

So basically just a shitty feel good movie with no point to it?

Yes, but again, it has a "so bad it's good" quality. Like Sharknado, but if the sharks were NFL teams and the nado was Kevin Costner's count mouth.

Also, whoever directed the film thought "Hey, you know what would be cool? Having splitscreens where people on each side had parts of their bodies moving onto the other side. In fact, it would be so awesome, I'm going to use it 100 times in the film."

The football sections are pretty awful. Other than that, it's not that bad. Kevin Costner is as likable in that role as he's been in a movie in a long time

So the entire movie?

Least realistic things about the film:
1) The fans at the draft not mercilessly booing Goodell
2) Kevin Costner still being fertile
(massive drop)
3) Trading three 2nd round picks for the #1 pick in the draft.

There are plenty other threads calling this thing the steaming pile of shite it is. But sadly, there are a couple threads where some people said it was "good"

Like you, I think the writers should be beaten.

They would commit seppuku in 1600s Japan.

They trade 3 first round picks for the 1st overall pick....
Then traded 3 second round picks for the #6 pick

I watched it the other day and was wondering why they were so happy to essentially give up three 2nd round picks for a first rounder and a kick returner. Not to mention taking a guy at #1(and paying him accordingly) overall that was projected to drop to the late teens.
