I watched 2 sci-fi movies with single-room sets, and both were great!

POTENTIAL SPOILERS IN POSTS AFTER THE OP

The two things that related these films were they were all filmed using one set and only a few exterior shots, and they are rooted in sci-fi.

1) Coherence - I don't want to spoil any of it, but if you like time travel movies, you'll like this unique take.

2) The Man From Earth - Man meets with colleagues in academia one last time before leaving for another life path...only he's been doing the same thing his whole life.

Both movies are very different takes on sci-fi and encapsulate exactly why sci-fi is such a great genre.

Each are about 1.5 hours tops, so you can easily watch it in one sitting. I didn't even move from my seat in The Man From Earth.

Check them out!

If you've already seen either of them, feel free to discuss them here.

I caught this on Netflix a while back. It was really good and cool, but the big reveal/climax struck me as incredibly predictable and cheesy. It gave me the feeling of being pretentious as it seemed like it was intended to be deeper than it struck me as. It was just easy, low hanging fruit, and I think that they could have come up with something more impactful. It might have simply been better if they just left it out.
