Yes, I had some which had been frozen & imported. My dad was from Indonesia and said that fresh durian is so much better. I think it's illegal to carry it on public transportation in some Southeast Asian countries, and to cut it in public because it's so stinky.

The taste was...unique. Kind of like a creamy, very fragrant melon. I can see some people might acquire a taste for it, but I didn't care for it much.

Never had it. I ate durian ice cream at Rama and didn't really notice any flavor. They sell it, both fresh and frozen, at the Vinh Phat Asian Market on Florida in BR...

I ate it in vietnam and also tried one here.

the one in vietnam was better, I guess because it was fresher, but its just not that good. It has a weird texture and also a bad aftertaste that just lingers in the back of your throat.
