You're not biased at all...
Usually the transitive property is dumb, especially when invoked to pick a winner before teams play. However, in the case of ECU>VT>OSU, I'm perfectly ok with it.

I agree, but this isn't a transitive property situation. I'm not comparing ECU to Ohio St. I'm valuing their quality based on the quality of a team they lost to. Or do you think they value out the same regardless of if Va Tech finishes 11-1 vs 2-10?
