How many people here believe that Obama could have passed the hand grenade throw in basic training?
IE, you have to be able to throw a grenade far enough so that you don't blow yourself up.

Grenade qualifications are done with practice grenades or simulations- (you can hurt yourself, and I saw a girl blow her pinky off once)- then a live grenade orientation is usually done- note females need to be braver and be closer to the target.

We threw 2 or 3 live grenades from a bunker at Leonard Wood in '88.
