How do I hurry up spike the ball? Is that possible?

Hold Y or I guess Triangle after the play is over to run hurry up then on the play call menu it shows to press one of face buttons for spike.
To throw it away I think you press one of the thumbsticks in?

On PS4, hold circle after the play... automatically hurries up and sets you up for spike (a lot faster than other suggestion).
Throw away is R joystick press.
