That whole show is pointless. Just replaying Hawthorne's calls of the big/scoring plays, taking a couple of calls, and then Greg Bowser offers his "insight".
The only reason I can figure it's on is to give Hannagrif and Risher time to get over and set up for their show

This is usually pretty close to the time I get back in my car after the home games. I enjoy that part of the show.

Look...I get why LSU did this. That is, extended the post game an extra hour. why cut it off early and allow 98.1 and others to do their own shows after you while people are still wanting to talk about the game and wast that prime advertising venue?
But holy hell it's terrible. After stats, an interview with Les and a few post games comments, I'm ready to listen to Hannigriff. I have ZERO interest listening to Ford "banter" with the guy who was on CST (name escapes me.) It's almost as uncomfortable as it was having to watch Jordy Hultberg banter with Saban when he was here. It's become obvious they can't fill the time and are essentially just filling it with bullshite.
30-40 minutes post game for LSU's official show is P-L-E-N-T-Y!

Ford's show is pretty bad. He usually offers no opinion about anything and just rehashes stats and scores. And I cringe when the score of the game is in the 20s..."LSU beats Wisconsin by the score of chwenty eight to chwenty four."

I hate the Greg bowser segment, I hate ford offering any analysis and I despise the caller of the night
Every away game ford makes some lame joke about bowser sitting in traffic and something about the plane ride home

You think LSU gives a shite about Hanigriff's show?? Kevin Ford's show (the official LSU Postgame) is produced by LSU and it's on so that LSU can get more air time and sell more ads. The have 100,000 people stuck in traffic and they'll listen to basically anything talking about the game. Ever notice that his show has like a 60/40 commercial to content ratio? Even when he is talking he's plugging LeBerge or some other corporate partner.
The show is on because LSU knows you'll listen and they can make money on it. It's not there to provide any real content of any kind. It's just there for commerical time and offers just enough fake content to keep you from changing the station.
It's like those articles in a magazine that are really just ads disguised as articles.

The actual answer is because not all stations have the Hanagriff hysteria show, so as far as those people know, it is the only call in show

The call part is so useless lol. I'm really not sure if I like Greg Bowser as an analyst. His opinions are....off.
