Old school EQ players - Project 1999

Anyone play on here? It's an emulated server currently on the Kunark expansion, with Velious looming on the horizon. So many feels playing classic EQ again.

I remember bashing eq for having graphics. I was a fan of the text based games at the time.

EQ was my first and favorite MMO, I have heard about 1999 for years but haven't tried it. It this the one that you need the EQ plat edition to play?

It's really easy to set up once you download the titanium client. The p99 website basically has a walkthrough on setting it up, all dependent on you "finding" Titanium beforehand.

Project1999 is too far back for my taste. Now if they had a project planes of power I would be in there like swimwear.

It's great for old school EQ players. The server is very active (1300+ on weekends, 1000+ on weeknights). If you're looking to give it a try, just grab the EQ Titanium client from a torrent site and it takes five minutes to set up from there.
edit: If you're talking "new" EQ, it isn't due for like a year, as far as I know.

I'm on and it great. I actually dropped my live sub because the old experience is better IMO.

So what server should I use?
NM found it. I now have a reason to visit LINK again. I miss the old class sites like eqrangers. The community in this seems to be good like it used to be but so small.
