Is it fair to say that Tannehill isn't the bust everyone predicted?

The Miami Dolphins were mocked when they took the Aggie QB at the #8 spot, but he is still the starter there, and they look to be headed in the right direction.
I'd love to find some of the threads on this board during that draft.

But he isn't that good

You're moving the bar.
I'd take him over RG3 right now. People would claim me insane during that draft.

He hasn't exactly been All-Pro either
Posted on 9/11/14 at 5:05 pm to SwaggerCopter
I would as well, but considering how RG3 is right now that isn't that much of a compliment.

Likely won't figure out how good Tannehill really is as long as he's playing behind the Dolphins O-line. Wasn't he the most sacked QB in the NFL last year by a wide margin?

He throws a horrible deep ball.
He had 23 turnovers last year, so pump the brakes

Meh. He played like pure dog shite in the 1st half of that Pats game. Then, he played ok in the 2nd half, but the defensive line for the Dolphins dominated Brady in the 2nd half. Ftr, I didn't think it was a horrible pick taking him, but he needs to show some improvement.

Agreed. And I like Tannehill.
But let's see him have atleast 1 season better than RGThreesus and make the playoffs.

He's OK. You hope for top 10 picks to be better than OK, but no he isn't a bust.
Posted on 9/11/14 at 5:09 pm to SwaggerCopter
He's serviceable.
He is Andy Dalton esque.

He's not awful. He's not great either.

A very small percentage of my threads have to do with A&M, but you do you, man.
Posted on 9/11/14 at 5:13 pm to SwaggerCopter
it's not like he's good. absolutely not playing like a first round pick.
Posted on 9/11/14 at 5:13 pm to SwaggerCopter
I liked him out if A&M.
Posted on 9/11/14 at 5:15 pm to SwaggerCopter
your SEC Rant post history proves otherwise. I am currently doing me, man.

I start a lot of threads, and yes some of them are about my Alma mater.

you keep doing you then, man.
seriously tho, back on topic.
at best he's a poor man's Andy Dalton. The arm talent just isn't there and his O-line is shite so we'll probably never know if he is worth the draft pick.

He needs more consistency but he's still young.
