what is the moral quandary here though?

I think it is that they've lied, doubled down and they've lied to us for years about a great many things...retaliatory punishments and now I even think fixing games to punish players/teams isn't out of the question

the brushing aside of tomlin's deliberate attempt to cheat in a game versus bounty gate

pot smoking is worse than violence (ray rice could've hit a bigger dude for all I care)

lies, lies, lies, PR smear, redskins, bounties, spygate, refs, DUIs, battery charge, dog fighting,

the NFL used to be about football

I don't think the moral dilemma is that they thought 2 games was a good punishment, unless viewed through the prism that josh Gordon got 16 games.

got the deal done with labor agreement and is trying to steer the NFL through the concussion lawsuit.

I'm not sure getting rid of Goodell will solve anything.

They will likely replace him with someone very similar.

Sure, any swinging D1ck would have made money for the NFL, but I also think that if the owners had someone else waiting in the wings for the job, that they KNEW would be better for them at making the money and improving the brand than Goodell is, I think Goodell would have been forced out over the slightest little minor trifling faux pas, a long time ago. Picking a new commish is a huge headache for the owners. It's like picking a Pope only worse.

maybe but there will always be a strain with commish and labor union at time of deals, its the nature of the beast fighting for different causes. Goodell owned them at negotiations, owners didn't forget that.
