We all know an SEC member school is holding up the works for Valentine.
Question is, how long does the process take? Does the complaining school have the opportunity to lodge other complaints after this one is satisfied?

No situation is the same. We don't know where the hold up is either. Is the SEC office taking its time? Is his HS taking its time handing over records? etc.

Yes, we can file an official complaint with the league office. Not sure if we want to do that or not, I'm sure our AD's office and football office know about our options and will use them if necessary.

What if there is actually an issue? What if the SEC office is doing everything in it's power, but the HS is uncooperative?

Quite the conspiracy theory.

I keep reading it's the SEC office attempting to verify discrepancies in his high school transcripts because he attended multiple schools

It's partly an LSU problem too. They are at fault too

This is a stretch imo. Now whether or not the SEC is working as diligently as they can, or if all players with similar issues at other conference schools have been through the same thing could definitely be up for debate.

He has been cleared by the Clearinghouse. What did LSU do wrong?

If the clearance situation is anything like the one my son had getting records transferred from Seminole State Community College (SSCC) in Orlando (actually Oveido) to Brevard Community College (now Eastern Florida State College) in Cocoa, it may take a while. The dumkaufs in the SSCC records office kept saying the transcript was incomplete but didn't explain why for nearly two years--in the which time our son's Bright Futures scholarship expired and now he has to foot his own bill. At the end of two years--the Dean at SSCC straightened it out and our son is accepted. Colleges everywhere can have the crappist Records (and other admin) offices. Fortunately, Valentine has the LSU people on top of this.
