Hey Guys,

I posted back on my original thread but for some reason it did not bump to the front, so it's stuck back on page 90-something. I am so excited that kickoff for the Miss State game was announced as a night game. I plan to be in Baton Rouge all day taking in the whole gameday atmosphere.

I'm sure I will have more questions as it gets closer, but on my other thread someone mentioned free parking down by the law school. I was wondering if that is walking distance to the tailgating, stadium, bars, etc. and what time I should get there in order to get a spot?

Also, some of y'all mentioned a gameday guide that will specify what time the band will march down the hill and other must-see activities. Does anyone know where I can find that?

Thanks again for your help, and looking forward to some LSU football!

Easy walk to the stadium, and to the Northgate area, if there are still bars there. I haven't been that way in so long, I couldn't tell you.

I park there. There are tailgates there and all the way to the stadium. On being close to the bars, it matters which bars you are talking about. Chimes and the Varsity are only a couple blocks from the Law school. Those two are pretty solid. There's a couple smaller Northgate bars there also. There's also a buffalo Wild wings two blocks away. Not an LSU classic, but you can get beer there.

Tigerland is not really walking distance from that parking spot though.
