Because sometimes swag will get you 15 yard penalties.

If this is in reference to Fournette's post-touchdown pose, then my problem is that I don't want us getting personal fouls called whenever we score. I'm pretty sure Patrick Peterson was flagged for his pose against WVU in 2010.

The only people who don't understand are those that have never been in the situation.

I remember my first high school touchdown receiving. I raised the ball into the air and ran toward the side line. No showboating, no pointing the ball at the defensive back. Just holding it in the air. I was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.

And, I was in front of a few hundred people.

LF is compared to Michael Jordan and Adrian Peterson, is given a national tv audience at his All American All Star game to announce his school of choice…….then he scores his very first collegiate touchdown in front of over 100,000 screaming fans and we expect this 18 year old to act like Winston Churchill? Really???!!!

I say F that!!!

Give the kid a break. He is by all accounts a very good young man that got caught up in the moment, realized after the fact that his exuberance got the best of him and apologized.

LSU could have gotten the shaft like they have from so many other talented and highly recruited players from our great state. But, he stayed at home and is working his arse off to be the best back ever at LSU.

I love his enthusiasm!!! It is contagious. This team needs more of it.

You were worried about a penalty against Sam Houston St?

Did any of you morons watch this guy in HS? He was about as humble on the field as you could be for a guy that was the best player in his class. He got excited after scoring his first td...really this is ridiculously overblown. If Les had waited unil they got into the locker room to talk with him this wouldn't even be an issue.

No, not blaming Les for the record, just pointing out that this wouldn't be a big deal at all if he didn't slightly get in his ear. That's what people are reacting to.

Nothing's wrong with swag. But there are other ways to show it. The timing and opponent made it questionable.

The word "swag" should be banned. We are a team that hasn't proven anything yet. Congratulate your teammates for allowing plays to happen and get your arse back to the sideline and get ready for whenever your name is called next.
