I haven't watched any UCLA games but a friend who is a UCLA fan says he's starting and tearing it up as a freshman. Anyone see him in action?

Haven't seen him play but I'm pretty sure everyone here knew he was gonna be a beast.

No worries, once Clifton Garrett adjusts to the heat he'll be in beast mode

We've missed on a lot of good ones. Some guys just want to play out of state. For every Kenny Young we have a Jeremy Hill, Travin Dural, Mo Claiborne, LF7.

If you ain't a tiger, you're tiger bait!

Can't get all the great LA recruits--just glad the Aggies didn't sign him.

I know during the build-up to the 2014 signing class, many posters were projecting Young would make an outstanding college LB. Not sure they knew it would be quite this soon.

You only missed if you didn't offer. The final decision is the recruit's. Spare me the LSU didn't show enough love crap. I'm more worried about the players we sign who never get on the field. Those are the misses that you have to worry about.

While I still think hes going to be a damn good LB... hes not "outstanding" yet. They played Virginia and Memphis... 9 tackles on the season, with 3 coming vs Virginia. Hes a promising freshman getting PT out there. But not an outstanding LB yet. Promising and earning PT as a true freshman... still impressive.

Best of luck to Kenny. Wish he was at LSU, but he just wanted to get out of the state and UCLA is a great spot to pick. Not to mention he will be learning from Myles Jack, who is just a sophomore. And hes not just 1 of the best defensive players in the country, but 1 of the best players overall and plays both ways in college football and is a lock to be a 1st round pick.

And this isnt to the OP or anyone... just a rant in general. It seems like people always pay attention to who we DONT get instead of who we do get. We land Malachi Dupre and Trey Quinn, but all you hear about is people pissed because we didnt get Speedy Noil and its "our recruiting staffs fault". And its total crap. Our coaches do everything they can to get these guys to come here. Some kids just want to go somewhere else or fit better in a diff scheme than ours or whatever. People need to start focusing on the guys we did get instead of the ones that decided to go somewhere else. Again... not directed to anyone in this thread. Just a rant in general

We did not miss on him he did not want to come here. Missing on him would mean we never offered him. But I do know what you mean

Kenny young was a man playing against boys at Curtis . The difference is he has real talent. Probably the best Curtis player in 40 years

I think Malachi will have something to say about that by the time both he and young's college careers are over.

I watched their game vs UVA looking specifically for him but he wasnt starting and didnt see much action in the first half. Maybe he got in late and made some plays. I guess earned the start vs Memphis but cmon man, its Memphis and they got torched.

And we didnt miss on him. He always wanted to go out of state despite our efforts to sign him.
