Why does the water coming out my faucet smell like raw eggs?

All through the entire apartment including the shower. I've never experienced this problem the 7 years I've been living here. What should be done?

You may have bacteria in the lines and if that is the case, the lines will need to be flushed.

There is a fungus or something that grows on the rod in your heater. It's a chemical reaction. Let your hot water run to exhaust the water heater and the smell will dissipate. You can also pour a light bleach solution in your heater, but the other way is easier and safer.

Has it been a while since you used the hot water?

It's ebolaids.

(Too soon?)

Or you live in Livingston Parish and that's just how things are.

Be glad you didn't find toilet paper in your ice cubes (like the residents of Pineville did back a few years when some brain surgeon/rocket scientists crossed up the lines that should never be crossed up.)
