Been looking at different shallow water rigs and I'm liking the way they look. They do look pretty narrow however. Need something to get on some fish in Bourg's property out in Dulac

Idk how to post pics, so here is what I'm looking at:

I have one. What would you like to know? Can get just about anywhere you want to be in the marsh, can also do plenty winter speck fishing. I bought one to move away from kayak fishing in order to greatly increase my range. Narrow boat, but very stable. Fishes 2 people pretty well. Gotta be careful on big water or big boat wakes though.

Those are SO badass.

My brother has a 13 with a small outboard on it (4hp or something). Its a killer rig for solo fishing.

What's a price on that thing? And can you get a trolling motor on the front?

They make trolling motor mounts for them.

If you look hard enough you can find a Gheenoe for a deal, my brother got his 13 for $300 on CL. I think they are a couple thousand brand new depending on the setup (tiller steer vs console, etc).

customgheenoe.com has tons of material to fap to.

I have a classic 15.5 ft

Fished bourg property regularly.

Put a copperhead 18hp surface drive on it and can get 24 mph.

Good boat. Fun to fish in. Wind blows it around a lot though.

Id be willing to run it with you if you want to see how it handles

It's crazy how stable they're for a small rig.

I might take you up on that.

I'm really looking for something that can fish 2 people max. I want to start site fishing more so I need the elevation. This boat looks pretty solid. I would only be using it to get from the Southern Comfort lots to Bourgs property or the Sweetwater area so I don't need a boat with a ton of range.

You can access bourg property from both dularge dulac areas depending on the ride time

I used to have a red gate key and could be fishing very quickly. I could run wide open in the boat down all those ditches.

I had it custom built by gheenoe with the gun box on the side. It fishes two pretty well. You can build a standing platform for site fishing.
Just remember, the higher you bring the weight in that boat, you give up stability.

I think we may have. We're at the end of Flounder.

We killed them back there last year in our Xpress and other alum flat boat. I was down there two weekends ago and we caught some nice reds and drum.

One afternoon it started storming and some guys pulled up to the camp looking for some shelter. They were pro's from Lake Charles (one of the guys had tons of sponsors and was on TV) and they were pre fishing for a Salt Water Series event the next day. Rode all the way from Fourchon to y'alls property.

ETA: His name was Todd McKellar I believe

Unfortunately I'm living in ATL for the time being. My dad owns the camp and I try to get down there once a month or so.

Shoot me an email and maybe we can coordinate something
