Looking to take the wife to a resort somewhere to get away from kids and just relax. No sightseeing or anything. Just relax, go to spa, hang at pool, maybe have some nice scenery in mountains.

I've looked at a few in Palms Springs, Scottsdale and Sedona. Any other recommendations?

Very different than Palm Springs, but the casinos have some really nice spas down here. The ip probably has the best. The pool area is also nice especially if you rent a cabana.

Depends on what time of year.

Scottsdale has great resorts here....but you don't want to come in the summer(although you find the cheapest rates then).

Sedona is def more gorgeous natural scenery.

If you want something really nice, go to Enchantment resort. Very pricey..but it's way off into the red rocks. Very exclusive. Gorgeous area. Many celebs stay here.

I've gone hiking near here and the resort looks amazing.

Probably gonna go sometime betwee Feb- March. Flight and driving times will factor in a little. I don't want a really long drive from the airport. I know Palm Springs is an hour from LA and that's about as long as I want.

Perfect time weather wise for Scottsdale, will still be a lil chilly for the pool in Sedona. March is Spring Training as well...so that is something yall can check out as well(lots of fun even if you aren't a huge MLB fan)

And Sky Harbor Airport in PHX is like 15-20 minutes from Scottsdale.

LSU Nurse's recommendation looks amazing but very expensive.

I don't know why, but I mistakenly read your title as "Denham Springs Vacation".

Sedona is still a drive though from PHX Sky Harbor Airport...around 2 hours.

Pretty scenic drive though.

I was a little worried about the weather that time of year at higher elevations. I'll have to look into that.

Nothing stops the Family Truckster. You'll be fine.

BTW when we went skiing in Utah, we rented a four wheel drive Yukon and didn't have any issues despite the weather. They usually keep the roads clear around the big resorts as best as they can if they actually have a problem.

I ignored that. I can go to a casino quality "spa" in Baton Rouge.

No it's not. But the Palm Springs airport is great for a tiny airport.

From LAX, it's going to be over 2 hours, which is why I recommended flying directly into Palm Springs if that's where you decide to go. I wasn't trying to be a smart arse.

You can fly into Ontario instead and make it much easier.
