It is ridiculous.

And excellent evidence that government has grown far too powerful.

I just don't understand why I am allowed to be outraged about this, but NOT allowed to be outraged about April 15th.

Well this is extrajudicial. Our tax code was passed by Congress in accordance with the Constitution.

I think it needs to be revamped ( as I'm sure you do too) but that's another discussion for another thread and completely irrelevant here.

This.

And I'm sure that a vast majority of it was drug related. With how absurd police get with seizures (you work a legit job making $50k a year but had 7 grams of blow on you, so we're taking everything), it's just another reason to legalize drugs.

The police state is out of control. The number of cops, heavy duty police vehicles, and unmarked, black police cars at the LSU game was ridiculous last Saturday.

They steal our money, stop us without cause on the roads, and kill our dogs. All in the name of "safety" from terrorists - who the government allows in the country and fails to track.

But no one alive today consented to it. The income tax was conceived in the 19th century and implemented by people who are long dead.

All confiscatory laws should contain sunset provisions so that every generation has a reasonable chance to consent.

Does anybody remember the 20/20 piece years ago about the robbery being committed on I-10 in SWLA by various local PD's and SO's?

It wasn't the LSP doing this. It was mainly the Sulphur PD and Jeff Davis SO.
