I figured it was always a possibility but they have come out and said it'll probably happen down the line. They've already started putting pieces in place it seems. Also, the new Wally looks very similar to cyborg. Not a big fan.

Does anyone know the new relation to Bart Allen and Barry Allen?

He's Iris's nephew.

I'm sure the show will go a similar route.

ETA:

I guess I should say he's STILL her nephew since I'm sure you knew he was before.

The new version of Wally is from like 15 years in the future though and I'm not sure how the teen Wally from the future come's to be a hero in the current/past.

I knew about Wally.

I'm asking about Bart Allen, kid flash, former impulse. He's always been one of my favorite characters

I thought Bart Allen is/was Barry and Iris Allen's grandson. One of his parents is one of the Tornado Twins. The other parent is related to Professor Zoom.

He was and might still be. I'm just not sure it's the same in the "new 52." I don't think they have touched on that

Pretty sure Wally West would be a newborn in this timeline.

Neither arrow nor flash are direct adaptations of the comics, which has turned out to be a great thing.

Wally West's second costume is one of the best costume designs in the history of comics (The first yellow and red costume).

That costume above is a train wreck.

completely agree. before i enlarged the picture, i thought it was cyborg. idk what they were thinking. i get that they wanted it to look different than barry but THATS the best design?

I thought I had read that DC jacked up Bart's origin in the new 52 and so I wiki'd. Don't kill the messenger...

quote:

After DC revised its continuity in 2011 as part of a company-wide relaunch of its most popular titles, Bart was subsequently reimagined as a fugitive and feared reactionary from the distant future named Bar Torr. Sent to the 21st century without his memories, Bar Torr is given the alias Bart Allen and attempts to forge an identity for himself as the teenage hero Kid Flash. Although he is a member of the Teen Titans, he does not affiliate himself with the current Flash (Barry Allen).

The Flash family, one of the best parts post Crisis-DC, was one of the biggest casualties of the New 52.

agreed. this is the only part thats been a disaster for the new 52. but i will say, there is still hope. originally they had Tim Drake/Red Robin as never having been robin but someone who admired Batman and trained himself. but that got ignored and he's still a past robin.

hopefully they will find their footing with the flash or a good enough writer will figure it out and the ship will be righted. because right now, the flash is a mess.
