I didn't notice this, but I was reading an ESPN article that states "It’s still unclear why Ingram was so upset early in the second half, when he threw his helmet and stalked away from coaches. "

Anyone pick up on that?

Yes. It was reported during the game and talked about extensively in the game thread.

Why was he upset? Not enough touches? Dude needs to be a team player.

Probably because Khiry got the bulk of the carries.

His hissy fit worked because he got more carries after he acted like that.

One would think it would have the opposite effect.

Something about Ingram rubs me the wrong way. He has produced much more than I expected towards the end of last year and had a solid game in Atlanta but something just doesn't sit right with me. It's probably because everytime he gets a gain of 4+ yards he throws the ball halfway down the field like it was the greatest run of all time.

I don't even remember the last time he did this.

Most of the time, he gets 4 yards and just looks angry at himself for not getting more.

i didnt get the reason yet either. i think it was when he was going for a big run but tripped up or something. and he was pissed cause he knew he had more. im not positive though.

No one knows why, but:

He was in on the first series and ran well.

He then didn't get another carry until he late in the game when he threw his tantrum.

Directly after throwing his helmet down and screaming at the coaches, he was re-inserted into the game and played great.

That's all we know.

Would imagine if he has a good agent he sat him down and had a good little chat with his guy about the market being smaller every year for RB's and even smaller for those who may show their arse on the sideline during the games.

I can live with this. As long as he keeps producing, throw the ball as far as you want. I just feel he has underacheived outside of a few games (which have been consecutive I might add) and it just rubbed me the wrong way when I would see him doing that.

He did it a few times in the Indy preseason game. Like I said, he can do whatever he wants as long as he keeps moving forward and hitting pay dirt.

ingram is even better if used properly, most of his carries the defense knows he's getting the ball. That has to be frustrating...

I contend if he was the feature back he'd produce at a level commensurate with his draft status
