People need to give Michigan a bit more respect and stop overreacting

I know they looked bad against Notre Dame but we need to judge them on their body of work and not just one game. What if we judged Alabama in 2011 after losing to LSU or 2012 after losing to A&M. It's the entire body.
And when doing that IMO Michigan looked the part of a playoff team against Appalachian State. They were impressive and looked to be in midseason form. Very smooth and efficient on both sides of the ball. Plus they exercised the Appy State demon from 2007. But since everyone is overreacting about the Notre Dame game they are forgetting how crisp Michigan looked against Appalachian State. Body of work, people.
Same with Nebraska. Yes they had a close call against McNeese State but they looked every bit like a Playoff Contender to me against Florida Atlantic. Bad teams just don't dominate teams 55-7 in the way Nebraska did to Florida Atlantic.
It's about the body of work.

Their body of work is a blowout win against a FCS team a blowout loss against what I consider a mediocre team.
Sorry, not impressed.

University of Michigan is an EXCELLENT school. That matters to me more than the state of their football program.
That being said, they suck at football.

His body of work is being judged over 4 years..

They have had Top 10 recruiting classes half of the time Hoke has been around and you tell people there is no reason to overreact to what was witnessed on Saturday?

Alabama lost by 3 in OT to the #2 team. Michigan got blown out 31-0 by a mediocre Notre Dame.

y a mediocre Notre Dame.
Maybe, maybe not.
Golson is legit now though. Will be a first round draft pick.

Unfortunately, I made the trek to South Bend this past weekend. Golson picked apart our defense and you just aren't going to win with 4 turnovers. I do think ND as a good team this year. That said, Hoke isn't the guy and I believe he'll be gone after this year.
I'm looking at the schedule and I can't see us doing better than 8 wins. I still don't see a win against Ohio State either. This is a 7-5, 8-4 team. It's just not going to get the job done. The conference has seen better years and we could really thrive on that now, but we are downright disastrous at times.

I doubt it because of his height. That said, he has a lot of the same skills as Russell Wilson, perhaps with a stronger arm. So he will draw those comparisons when he declares for the draft. I think he'll end up being a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
