This is such a stupid statement.

1) The NCAA reinstated Penn State, not the Big Ten.
2) We don't give a flying frick about Penn State. They bring nothing to the conference.

Penn State is part of the Big Ten

Your conference is absolutely terrible. Penn State is half decent. That makes them huge in your conference. They bring a lot to the table.

The NCAA reinstated Penn St based on "recommendations."

Well, see, that is where you are wrong. They are now your only hope at getting a team in to the playoff this year.

The announcement is more likely related to the Rice scandal breaking. Something like this would have been in the works for a while.

This is where YOU are wrong. They aren't my hope for anything.

Genro,

They aren't decent. They struggled against Akron. They will be lucky to finish third in the division.

And here is where YOU make YOURSELF look like an idiot. Akron is a decent football team. Not to mention, Penn State had a short week coming off the trip back from Ireland.

It's dumb because it isn't even a debate. Everybody knows the B1G is garbage this year and it seems like they are getting worse every year. They will not have a team make the playoffs. Penn St. will lose 4 games. This is coming from a lifelong Iowa fan and general B1G supporter. Though I used to always root for other B1G teams to lose no matter who they were playing.

PSU is likely not getting into the playoff this year, they are too shorthanded and likely not talented enough to make it through without 3+ losses.

There is plenty of time for multiple team to crap the bed against teams this year. Oregon likely is a top 10 team, so the MSU loss isn't that bad no matter what. VT will need to prove they are a good team (I have no idea if they are but their schedule sets up well for them to look good), and OSU need to improve BIG TIME to have any shot.

But 2007 has happened, so I see no way to dismiss the chances when there is plenty of time for teams to lose twice

You are kidding right.. This isn't the same Penn State Team that embarrassed LSU in the Capital one Bowl. This is a 6-8 win team. Barely bowl eligible. They have two DT's playing on the offensive line. I think they have about 70 scholarship players due to sanctions and injuries. Allen Robinson their best player fled for the NFL. Wouldn't surprise me if Rutgers beat them this week.
