With Fournette at tailback. I like that look. I had an evil laugh moment when I saw it Saturday. You can put Fournette into motion as a receiver and BOOM, mind blown!

Especially if you catch the D with the wrong personnel on the field. Or help clear a 9 man box for Hilliard. Safety would have to respect Dural and Fournette's speed and AJs ability to toss it long.

Hmmmm. Maybe its too simple.

I like giving it to Hilliard at fullback a hell of a lot more than giving it to a true FB who is prone to fumbling.

But, to be honest, other than once in a while, I prefer a true fullback with either running back (Hilliard or Fournette).

And it looks like they can mix and match that - Williams or Hilliard at FB (and let us not forget that Hilliard got onto the field as a freshman - mainly at the FB position) - and Magee or Fournette at TB - it does present some interesting problems for the defense, doesn't it?

The main problems it creates are really just having an extra legitimate passing threat on the field.. that's also a run threat.

It's better with motion and misdirection IMO. Just to move linebackers and create throwing lanes.

I'm laughing at this because while y'all think this is good, if you follow recruiting, 238lb FB/RB will be even more deadly lined up with Fournette in that formation.

This will definitely be a top play this year, but next year, it will be ridiculous.

We used to run this a ton in 06 and a little in 07 with Hester at FB and Williams or Murphy at HB. It was a nightmare for defenses because Hester was so versatile.

This may not be a formation you ride for long stretches, but it makes for a great change-up, especially when Harris is out there. That is one hell of a potent triple option.

Agreed. Ducre will be a complete and total mindfrick for opposing defensive coordinators next year. Can't wait. It's gonna be marvelous.

Rather than have a lead fullback pound into the point of attack (which tends to draw everyone to the hole and clog everything up) I like the idea of two backs going in different directions. The back that doesn't get the ball is going to draw off at least one defender, and at the same time it will likely keep the DB's from committing too quickly.

I really like the formation. No offense to Neighbors, who I love, but by using Hilliard or Williams for the straight run into the line, with the option for the QB to keep for a run/ toss to LF. Or LF motion pre-snap and become a receiver after the fake into the middle. Lot of options that the D must respect with a bruiser that can run at FB.

Just the threat of a QB keeper to run/pass, or a pitch to LF, will leave more room up the middle for Hilliard/ Williams. I can see Ducre when Hilliard leaves. Cam should have fun with this.

I hope we see mostly Hilliard and Williams in when we use a fullback.
