Just goes to show what a joke the democrat party is in this state that they can not field a legitimate candidate for this race... "vote for the crook; its important" doesn't quite work 20yrs later.

This race will be a true litmus yes, but it will also be a litmus test of how many absolutely delusional democrats there are in the LA06. If a Republican was trying to pull a stunt like this, you can only imagine the hate that would spewing from the Dems and stupid republican EWE sympathizers.

Louisiana has always been schizophrenic with its politics compared to the rest of the south and it's my firm belief that we still have a shite ton of my daddy and granddaddy were democrats and voted for the so they must be alright retards running around in this state. This state didn't start going solidly red and republican until the past 15 years or so.

EWE screwed us over and Louisiana could've been so fricking great and up there with Texas and California with Baton Rouge and New Orleans resembling something like Dallas and Fort Worth and San Fransisco and Oakland in its heyday. He could've used his political muscle to plan ahead for the future with infrastructure and got construction started on a loop for BR. It's clear now that it's going to take a strong and powerful governor to make any headway on a BR loop. He stole a great future from Louisiana. frick Edwin, and frick anyone that would even consider voting for that piece of shite.

I think the Louisiana Republican Party, if they have any raisins in their britches, should demand that our Republican Senate President, John Alario, pick a side and make a public endorsement in the eventual run-off. Either for whomever the Republican candidate is, or for his dear friend and the guy whose water he carried for years, Edwin Edwards.

I don't even feel bad for saying that I hope that old crook takes his last breath before he can cause more trouble for this state.

Would be funny if he won, then dropped dead the day after taking office.

Can't y'all see what's going on? This is a sleazy attempt to get Democratic voters off the couch to go vote on Election Day and vote for EE and Miss Fat arse Puggy.. Democrats pulling out all the stops to keep Mary in office.

Not exactly unprecedented. That's more or less happened in La. before.

Another colorful character, Earl K. Long died before he could take his seat in Congress.

Don't give the democrats any ideas. They might think about doing some behind the scenes work to slip him in there as a plant in the GOP and accuse republicans of still being racist.

They've supported unconvicted felons forever, so it's just a small step.

Last I read Duke is in Turkey or someplace similar playing his old race card for money. What is even worse than the DP backing EWE will be the number of La. voters who vote for him.
