Josh Bent kills a teammate drinking and driving spends less than a year and jail, gets a 10 game ban
Donte Stallworth kills a guy also while drinking and driving gets a year ban (I don't think Roger G was in charge at that time)
Ray Rice beats his fiancé suspended indefinitely, seems fair.

I just don't get how it changes anything.
Everyone knew what he did... 2 games and the Ravens had his back.
But now we see what we already knew he did and he's cut and shunned from the league.
I don't know why no one important is bringing this up. It's only been people on message boards.

What is interesting to me is no one seemed to care when Chad Johnson head butted his ex wife or when Will Smith grabbed his wife by the hair and pulled her down the street. There's plenty of domestic violence cases in the NFL and people are just now starting to care? This kind of reaction reminds me of people who freaked out over Donald Sterling being racist only after that tape came out.

Because even though it's a chicken-shite way to come to a decision, the decision the NFL ultimately made was the right one.
