Arse's fatty weekend rewind (Company Burger, Casa Borrega, Liberty, Saints)

fricking Saints had to let my weekend end on a bad note. Frick you Rob Ryan!
Friday, I went to the Newman game and Mr. Ryan was in attendance. That SOB should have been working on a game plan. After the game, I took my folks to Company Burger. They had never been before. We ordered three classics, and I got mine with egg. The old man got bacon. We also ordered onion rings, fries and tots. I think the old man had an orgasm. I'm not sure the last time they had sexy time. My burger was boss and the garlic mayo complimented the fries magically.
After eating, I went home to have a few bourbons before retiring early. I have a busy month and had to work Saturday morning. When I decided to leave the office, I headed over to Casa Borrega. I've been high on this place the past few months. I ordered a Caipirinha and chicken mole. Their mole is one of the best I've had.
My only complaint is the owner cannot sing. They had some old broads celebrating a birthday in there. He decided to serenade them with a guitar and "Feliz Cumpleanos." His arse should have stayed in the kitchen.
I then went to Barrel Proof since I don't have cable to watch some football. This bar has made many improvements since I first went there. The music has been turned down and the air seemed to be working. I ordered a few doubles of Beam w/ a splash of diet. The owner came to my table and discussed a few things about the bar. I think I'll frequent it a lot more often. They also run a $5 beer and a shot option. Not bad imo.
My bro then called me to meet him and his family at Peche. I wasn't hungry and just had a beer and picked at some oysters and crudo. The niece got the fish sticks. She was excited we didn't get a communal table.
From Peche it was to Rouses to buy shite for the Saints game. I then went home to watch whatever shitty Big Ten game was on national tv. I took a brief nap and went to Liberty Cheesesteaks to pick up some grub.
The place is very small. I think it has two tables. The guys working were having fun. I think it was the best day around Tulane's campus in a while. It was good to see the coeds cutting loose and feeling somewhat relevant.
They ran out of peppers due to the amount of business, however the worker said he'd give me a few free sauces to take care of me. I'm a sucker for free sauce. I ordered the Wiz and some friess. It was my first time there, and I must say I was impressed. I'll go back.
After a few more drinks, I passed out.
I ran to church Sunday and went to pick up chicken. I usually go to McHardy's, but they don't open until 11. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am not a fan of Popeye's. I decided to go to Key's Fuel on Rampart and Gov. Nicholls. The chicken is cheap and very good. Gregg Williams told me about it several years ago. And I have to trust a man who is as self centered as he is.
I got 30 pieces mixed.
We also had dips, veggies and potato skins for the game.
What's a football game at home without French Onion dip. (The cool kind) I think I ate all of it. I polished off the ruffled chips and began to eat it with Zapp's or my finger.
After we lost, I went home to cry. On the way, I stopped at Wendy's for a spicy chicken sandwich. I ordered it with a side of their chili sauce. I like to use it as a condiment on their food. I was pissed when I got home and discovered the dumb bitch forgot to put the sauce in the bag.
This morning I had a couple of hearings and needed some gas. I stopped at a gas station to grab a bite at fill up. I grabbed these bbq chicken/chicken quesadillas (?). They were healthier looking than the fried options. I grabbed two. The meat was good and the sauce was sweet. It's probably better than any bbq in Baton Rouge.
This weekend, I'm taking my talents to Orange Beach. Until then, stay fat my friends.

I have three options. Mayo only, ketchup only or combined.

I do at company burger. the garlic may or the chipotle mayo plus ketchup makes for some great dipping sauces.

Once again, well done!
Royal Reds should be on your list in OB. They are a favorite of mine.
