We left the Levee Lot and headed south on RR. By the time we got to Brightside, you could turn left, but it was frickING CLOSED between Burbank and Highland. You literally could not take a straight shot to the interstate.

I needed to get to I-12, and didn't want to be funneled down Highland to I-10, so I doubled up Burbank, took Boyd over to Highland, and then was allowed to turn onto Lee at the light.

It was ridiculous.

ETA: It took 1:05 to get from the lot to the interstate.

I need to learn to spell better. How the hell is someone supposed to get home if you live off of Brightside?

All that money spent on these studies and I can't get to my fricking house. Is this initiated by the BRPD or LSU?

It was a mess leaving the central campus. The parking maps don't show closed roads. Thus you have to guess at the open exit routes. We ran into 3 different road blocks that weren't marked on he map.
Basically you have to go the route they want you to go regardless of the direction you want to go.

At the end of it/or the beginning of it depending on how you look at it.

They've been doing this for years. I come down Lee on my way home from work and this has screwed me over a few times.

Well that's kinda the point.

We left after the 56th point and then took the tailgate down so we left with the 00:00 crowd. There weren't any cops at Dalrymple and Highland so it was one lane out with the stoplight on.

Then when you got to state it became contraflow to I-10. Didn't really make any sense, IMO.

Yeah, we had that issue. The cop said no left turn. I stopped and asked how Riverbend residents are going to get home. He stopped us on river road to think about it then told us to go up to Farr Park, turn around and come back. He told us to just drive around 3 barricades blocking north bound river road traffic. We then turned right on Brightside.

Others in the neighborhood parked on Farr Park street and walked though horse park and on to their house.
